Use what you’ve got!

Used tack

We all know there is some saddle in that back corner of the tack room gathering dust. Make an entry and decorate your foyer with that old tack. Hang bridles from a coat hook or you can even place a whole saddle on a rack or the back of an entryway chair.

Boots, show coats, helmets, and spurs all make great candidates for home decor.  Place an old velvet hunt cap on the side table, set those old leather boots on a shelf… the opportunities are endless.

Scarves and Equestrian Accessories

Scarves, scarves and more scarves. Something about a horse-themed scarf is just too irresistible. So get those out of the drawer and use them! Tie them around a furniture piece or  frame them for a feature wall moment. You can display your favorite horse-girl accessories around the house too! A stockpin here, your favorite belt there… you can get creative with it.

Textiles

Fabrics and soft goods are a great and often less expensive way to change up your interiors. This includes items like pillows, throw blankets, table linens, towels and curtains. You know what to do with these. Who doesn’t love a new blanket to cozy up with? Almost as cozy as horse cuddles but not quite. We’ll include some of our favorite items to look for below.

  • Pillows
  • Blankets
  • Napkins
  • Tea towels
  • Duvet Covers

Hardware

Burke Decor Wall Hook

This one may take some rolling up of the sleeves. But have no fear, a few screws, maybe a nail or two and you can refresh your whole horse-girl inspired space. Check around your home for spaces that could use some new hardware. We’re thinking, bathroom drawers, kitchen cabinets, entryway hooks, and even dresser drawers on any of your furniture items. Many of these will already have the holes drilled, no construction necessary!

Make a Big Statement

Large scale paintings/photos
